Vandana lives with her mother and brother in Jahangirpuri. Prior to becoming a driver she was mostly confined within her home, and used to undertake stitching and tailoring odd jobs and earn some money. Her family supported her in her endeavor to become a professional driver.  When she gets home late from work, she does not have to do any chores and can rest at home. She takes pride in her work, is thrilled about being able to contribute money at home and also ensures that she makes regular small savings for herself. One day, she aspires to have her own home and a car.
